Jeff Pastorek paints gouache on paper for fine art and illustration projects. Born around and living in New Orleans, he received a B.F.A. from Loyola University and a J.D. from Tulane.
Recent work analyzes human relationships with animals, history, and other people. With few exceptions, his work since 2012 has been in a more organized, larger grid format and has included floating heads in several forms and styles.
Jeff has had the opportunity to have his work shown at the Contemporary Arts Center New Orleans, The Front, and Jonathan Ferrara Gallery, to have it purchased by the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, and to have it commissioned by the Oxford American, Defend New Orleans, and Preservation Hall, among others.
